norn are London-based curators Ali MacGilp and Cassandra Needham.

Ali MacGilp and Cassandra Needham both graduated from the MA Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art in 2005. They have worked on many curatorial projects together including:  norn presents Concrete and Glass Launch, Shoreditch House, 2008; norn presents The East London Line, Artprojx Space Late, Artprojx, 2008; Unexpected Item in the Bagging Area, Guy Hilton Presents Live on Stage at Sun and Doves, 2008; We like it a lot, Guy Hilton’s Summer Show at Nettie Horn Gallery, 2007; Failure to do so is an offence, Galerie der HFBK, Hamburg,  2006; Do Not Interrupt Your Activities, Royal College of Art, 2005.

Ali MacGilp is currently completing a collaborative Ph.D. with Tate Britain. She is a founder and editor of artvehicle.com and a regular contributor to Spanish art magazine EXIT Express. She has worked for Cape Farewell, the South London Gallery, the Istanbul Biennial 2005 and the Royal Academy. She has curated many exhibitions, screenings and performances, including: boyleANDshaw’s Dynamite Fighter, GSK Contemporary, Royal Academy of Arts, 2008; You can lead a horse to water, It’s Just Bread, Alma Enterprises, 2007; Painting Ruins, Afghan Foundation for Culture and Civil Society, Kabul, 2006.

Cassandra Needham is currently Exhibitions Organiser at the Whitechapel Gallery in London and has over five years experience working in the visual arts including Assistant Curator, Barbican Art Gallery, London; International Programme Coordinator, Barbican Art Gallery, London; Exhibitions Organiser, Serpentine Gallery; Curatorial Assistant, Momentum - Nordic Festival for Contemporary Arts, Norway. Previous Curatorial Projects include; Media Attention, g39, Cardiff, 2007; Double Take, Hiscox Projects, London, 2005; Grander Shadow, tactileBOSCH, Cardiff, 2002.
